Why join a Practitioner Community?
As professional practitioners of pastoral and spiritual care, we need to have accountability with our trusted peers and colleagues, a safe community, and a place for consultation where each member can continue submitting himself/herself to group processing and developing courageous vulnerability.
Benefits of Membership
One very important benefit of becoming a member is the opportunity for board certification. If you seek to be board certified, you need to be a member of a practitioner community since it is the community that gives the recommendation for the certification. Moreover, 50% discount is given to paid members for all training, seminars, workshops, and retreats conducted by Vanderpol Center. Members can also have access to books in the library located in Vanderpol Center’s Office at Antel Global Corporate Center. Members may also use the clini/office for counseling patients, conducting practitioner community activities, etc., provided a fee is given for use of the facilities. As a member, you will also be affiliated with the Center for Spiritual Care and Pastoral Formation (CSCPF) (https://www.cscpf.org) and the Spiritual Care Association (SCA) (https://spiritualcareassociation.org) both of which are based in the US and are internationally recognized accrediting centers.
Members’ Quarterly Spiritual Care Gathering
The purpose of this gathering is to connect with all Vanderpol Center members on a regular basis. This also aims to nurture and provide spiritual care to all members.
The schedule of the gathering is every last Saturday of January, April, October, and during the annual retreat. The activities include centering rituals (e.g., songs, poetry, dance, etc.), life lessons shared by individual members, community singing, short talks, and refreshments (Coffee, Tea & We).
