Are you wondering how to properly care for a loved one or a patient who has been sent home from the hospital to be cared for by the family until his/her last breath? And if you are a medical practitioner, pastoral caregiver, chaplain or counselor, have you ever thought about the ethical considerations, as well as the cultural and spiritual aspects to consider regarding end of life care?
Great news! To answer all these salient, life-changing questions and more, the Vanderpol Center for Leadership and Pastoral Formation is conducting a seminar-workshop entitled “Caring for the Human Dignity: A Seminar on Palliative Care” on March 29, 2019 at Dolce Latte, Quezon Ave., Quezon City, Philippines. Our main speaker is Dr. Jose Cariaga, MD, an internist who has expertise and extensive experience in geriatric and pediatric palliative care spanning 40 years of medical practice in the USA. Supplementing his talk will be Dr. Maria Theresita Sobremisana, PsyD, BCC, a psychotherapist who will speak on the psychosocial and spiritual dimensions of palliative care.
